Carlan's sentimental final Wish romance (after To Catch a Dream) will please series fans yearning for reunions with the couples from previous installments, but is unlikely to inspire new readers. Freshly returned from a culinary program in Europe, BFF pastry chefs Isabeau Collins and Jasper Prince plan to live and work in Chicago. But plans change when Izzy learns from her two fathers that her mother, who she'd always been told was a surrogate, was actually more involved—leading her to an unexpected inheritance, two half-sisters, and a grandfather in Colorado. Izzy and Jasper take advantage of the money by moving to Pueblo, where Izzy gets to know her new family while she and Jasper open their dream bakery. There, she meets attractive contractor Kyson, whose rather mild secret—that he has a young daughter—drives the will-they/won't-they tension for a while. The couple's connection is hurried, with Carlan doing far more telling than showing when it comes to their chemistry, and Kyson's daughter's eagerness to embrace Izzy feels convenient. Still, scene-stealer Jasper lightens things up, and returning readers will be happy to check in with Izzy's sisters. It's not perfect, but for diehard fans it'll do the trick.

4.5 stars. Another great story by Audrey Carlan. This is the 3rd book in the wish series, although it can be read as a standalone. Izzy’s world is turned upside down when she discovers that her “mother” wasn’t just an egg donor and she has 2 sisters. Her and her best friend Jasper, decide to go on an adventure that will allow her to get to know her sisters. That is where she meets Kyson and sparks fly immediately. As with the others in this series, I loved watching the story unfold. There are also several twists that I wasn’t expecting. This story also brings a lot of steam with it. Definitely a book you won’t want to miss.
Such a beautiful story! Changed me forever!
On the Sweet Side touched my heart in such a way that it brought new light to my soul and changed me forever! This story is such a breathtaking and inspirational journey that brings a whole new perspective on choices made, chasing dreams, love and life! Izzy is such a beautiful person inside and out and the joy and happiness she brings to everyone around her is amazing to witness. Her grandfather calls her angel and it’s perfect for her. Kyson is a stunning man who knows what he wants, and feels everything to his core. He is determined and loving in all that he does. This couple was abandoned in different ways and while it changed them, it made them into the best versions of themselves for their loved ones and especially each other. Oh how I wish I was Hope’s new mommy and I could bottle up all her sugary sweetness and share it with the world. You need to read this book for the best friend tattoos, the apartment, Jasper, the sugar cookies, Toko and his wisdom, the mermaid Barbie, the letters and Atlantic City alone. On the Sweet Side is exceptional storytelling and the sacrifice, never ending love and hope that cascades across the pages in such a magnificent way proves once again why Audrey Carlan’s stories stand out and are never forgotten.

Bingeable, must read
This book was amazing. it is a must read, you will not be able to put it down!! I started it thinking it would be a good start to the new year and I was right. Once I started reading I could not put it down at all. The love between these three girls is what every sister wants, what I have always wanted with my sisters and do with my soul sisters. Isabeau gets the surprise of her life and she goes on an adventure to get to know her sisters and finds her dream and her soulmate, Kyson.
You do not have to read the first two books in the series before reading this one but I recommend it because they are all amazing. This book is well worth everything and is truly amazing. I have it in e-book and paperback is waiting on shipping.
